Samaresh Kumar Singh is a Principal Engineer at HP Inc. with more than 20 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems, edge AI, and network security. His work focuses on intrusion detection architecture, detection pipeline performance, and applying machine learning to packet-level threat analysis. Before HP, he was at Cisco, where he worked on Firepower Threat Defense and Snort2 and Snort3 as part of the Next Generation Firewall product line. He writes and publishes on IDS and IPS architecture, agentic AI in security operations, and the practical trade-offs of running detection at line rate.
